Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB/SDVOSB) Certification

Empowering Veterans in Federal Contracting

What is VOSB/SDVOSB Certification?

The Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) programs provide unique opportunities for veterans to compete for federal contracts. These certifications recognize the service and sacrifice of military veterans by providing preferential access to government contracting opportunities.

Key Benefits of VOSB/SDVOSB Certification

Set-Asides
Exclusive Contract Access

The federal government has a 3% contracting goal for SDVOSBs. Access contracts specifically set aside for veteran-owned businesses across all federal agencies.

Sole Source
Sole Source Authority

SDVOSBs can receive sole source contracts up to $5 million for manufacturing and $4 million for other industries, with no competitive bidding required.

VA Contracts
Department of Veterans Affairs Priority

The VA is required to prioritize VOSB and SDVOSB contractors. Certified businesses get first consideration for VA contracts through the Veterans First Contracting Program.

Recognition

Official SBA certification demonstrates your business meets rigorous federal standards, providing credibility and competitive advantages in both federal and private sector contracting.
